Complaints

Last updated 3 October 2026

We would rather hear it from you than not hear it at all. If something about Y-tech has disappointed you, this page explains how to tell us and what happens next.

Where we stand today: Y-tech does not yet provide regulated financial services, so there is no money, payment or account to complain about. Complaints at this stage will usually concern this website, our emails, or how we have handled your personal data. We take them seriously all the same.

1. How to complain

Email info@ytechfinance.com with the word "Complaint" in the subject line. You may also write to us at our registered office, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

To help us resolve it quickly, please include:

You do not need to use any particular form of words, and you will never be charged for making a complaint.

If the matter is complex, we tell you why and when to expect an answerFinal response within 35 business days

Our reply will explain what we found, whether we uphold your complaint, and what we propose to do.

3. If you are still unhappy

Tell us and we will look at it again, at a more senior level.

If your complaint concerns how we have handled your personal data, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

4. After we launch

Once Y-tech begins offering payment and electronic money services through a licensed partner, complaints about those services will be handled under the procedure required by financial services regulation. At that point the timescales set by the regulator will apply, and eligible customers will be able to refer an unresolved complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service free of charge. We will publish the full procedure, and the details of the licensed institution responsible, before the service goes live.

5. Our record

We log every complaint we receive, what caused it and how it was resolved, so that we can fix the underlying problem rather than just the individual case.
